Harlequin Loves the Snow at Seasons Holidays Burn Park
Okay, so most resorts have snow MEN, but Burn Park always did have a soft spot for horses, so here’s a very different shot of the snow effect in Cornwall!
Resort Manager Gill Kaye explained: "Harlequin is 10 years old and we have had her seven years, after buying her from a particularly bad horse auction, where she was in a very sorry state. She is a 16 hand Irish cob shire so is a big girl and is now in fact due to produce a foal round about April time. All our guests are usually very interested when we reach the 'birth' time almost working shifts keeping an eye on the expectant mother."
In answer to our question about how the snow affected the resort, Gill went on to say: "All the guests that decided to get to us managed the snow very well and the only casualty was my Assistant Manager Lise's husband, who incidentally is an advanced driver with the police force. He lost the car on our very slippery lane and crashed into the hedge, causing a dented bumper. Needless to say we all found this very amusing!"
