New Year Celebrations at Laugharne

As always, we are delighted to hear from a lady who is rapidly becoming a regular correspondent to this newsletter, Christine Brunning of Shrewsbury.

This time, she and her husband enjoyed New Year celebrations at Laugharne Park and from what she says, a good time was had by all! So there’s another possibility for a grand night out on the last day of this year. As always, the friendly staff at Reservations will be happy to take your booking for any of the Seasons resorts – at any time of year - on 01994 426000.

'Yes it's me again. I thought you might like to know what a great time we spent at Laugharne over the New Year. The weather was great, cold and snowy but sunny. New Year’s Eve was spent in the company of Geoff and Pam Parmenter from Southampton, who we met for the first time that night. We had such a good time (from what I can remember!), which started with a fabulous buffet provided in the
Club House. Cheryl, Lisa, Steve, Lan and Joshua could not have done any more for us. They really made the evening special.

We were entertained by Julian Knight, who really gave it his all.

On the evening of the 3rd, it started to snow heavily, which made everywhere like a winter wonderland. We were due to leave on the 5th but because of the snow and the weather forecast for more snow to come, we decided to leave on the 4th. Unfortunately or fortunately, whichever way you want to look at it, we were unable to leave, we had left it too late in the day and the roads were too icy.

We walked into the village and along the estuary path, crunching in the snow which I have not done
for a long time. It was beautiful! We did eventually leave on the 5th, only because I was afraid we might be stuck for a long time. We should really have stayed, as the journey home was a little hairy.

I would like to thank all the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. Our rep Sally was lovely. We will certainly be going back, hopefully this year. Happy New Year to all Seasons Members.'
