Members have enthusiastically demonstrated how delighted they are to welcome Mar Da Luz as another superb Seasons Holidays sunshine resort – once again in Portugal’s ever-popular Algarve. So as it is new to everyone, we thought that it would be useful to use this newsletter to publish the answers to a number of queries which have been raised by some of the many who have already booked their holidays there. Q. Are there steps to any of the apartments?
A. There are steps from the ground floor to the first floor.

Q. How far is the beach and the nearest bars, restaurants and shops?
A. The nearest beach and shops, supermarket etc. are at Luz, which is about 3km. Seasons plan to have a minibus on site which will run two or three shuttles a day via Luz to the charming resort of Lagos (6km), with its beautiful harbour area.

Q. Is the resort built on the flat?
A. Yes, Mar da Luz is on the flat but the Urbanizacion Porto Dona Maria is on sloping land which slopes down towards the cliffs above the coast.

Q. Have all of the 1st floor apartments got balconies/terraces?
A. Yes

Q. Is there a pool/snack bar by the communal pool and how far is it from the apartments?
A. There is a small communal pool within the Mar da Luz apartments. There is also a large communal pool at Casas do Mar, a few minutes walk away, which has a pool bar, but this is of course a separate operation from the new Seasons resort.

Q. Would it be advisable to hire a car?
A. In order to make the most of your holiday in this beautiful part of Portugal, it is strongly advised to hire a car to explore, even if only for part of your holiday, although there are some facilities within walking distance of the resort. However, the apartments at Mar da Luz are fitted to a very high standard and located in a charming and peaceful location,and, as with all Seasons resorts, our staff will happily go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful holiday!
