The County Hotel

The County Hotel is located within a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Bath and its magnificent attractions.

The County Hotel also offers a welcoming bar and guaranteed parking for all its guests, an unusual facility in the city of Bath.

The Bath cricket ground, which also doubles as Bath’s rugby ground in the winter season, is overlooked by The County Hotel. This recreation ground was a gift to the community of Bath from an affluent land owner and remains a green belt area within the city centre.

The County is situated in the stunning Georgian city surrounded by gorgeous countryside, museums and attractions including the famous roman baths and its lively shopping centre and restaurant scene.

In the past, The County hotel has won various awards, including AA Guest Accommodation of the Year, RAC Little Gem Award 2000 - 2004 and English Tourism Council Gold Award. Seasons are pleased to now be able to exclusively offer it members the opportunity to enjoy this enchanting hotel.

Rooms

The bedrooms at the County Hotel include superior doubles (including a four poster bed), standard doubles, twins and singles. All are individually decorated; en-suite, and many have terrific views towards Bath Abbey.

The Area

Bath is the jewel of the West Country. Whether you come for the elegant Georgian architecture, the shops and restaurants or the booming arts scene, you are certain of a welcome as warm as the hot spring water that gives the city its name.

No visitor to Bath can fail to notice the variety of tour buses circling the city, pointing out the main sights to the crowds. These run frequently from Orange Grove and the bus station.

However Bath was made for walking, and if you take

the time to see the sights on foot, you will appreciate the riches that the city has to offer.

There are several walking tours available, from the sublime Mayors Guides Walk that leaves the Abbey twice daily and is free, to the outrageous Bizarre Bath that will leave you in stitches.

If you prefer to enjoy a pint in the city's finest pubs, check out The Great Bath Pub Crawl. If you prefer to explore alone, then the tourist information office has leaflets with routes that will take you past the main attractions and beyond.

There are endless attractions and sights to visit in Bath, for instance the 5000 buildings listed for their architectural merit including the Royal Crescent, the Circus, the Pump Room, the Assembly Rooms and the Pulteney Bridge that are all Georgian works of art.

Bath has the unique status of being Britain’s only city with World Heritage Site status. It is also the site of Britain’s only hot springs, the site of which the Romans built a famous temple and bathing complex that gave the city its name and to this day flows with natural hot water.

The city has always been a place of entertainment, from Roman times to the present.

The International Music Festival staged once a year, followed by guitar, literary and film festival. The Theatre Royal, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Britain, stages countless great productions and shows. So if its entertainment you are after, you are in the right City.
